Both models support normal plant growth, but they differ in spectrum, adjustability, and heat dissipation. 
AeroLight: In addition to white + red + far-red LEDs, it includes blue and UVA LEDs for a more complete spectrum. The spectrum is adjustable and can switch between Seedling, Vegetative, and Flowering modes, optimizing light for each growth stage. This makes it ideal for users who want precise spectral control.
AeroLight SE:Uses white + red + far-red LEDs with a fixed spectrum that remains constant throughout operation. It’s suitable for growers who do not need adjustable light settings for different growth stages and offers a more cost-effective option.

What is the difference between the AeroLight and the AeroLight SE?

AeroLights can be daisy-chained for control using RJ45 cables. However, each light must be powered separately via its own AC power source.

Can the AeroLight be “daisy-chained” for power and control?

The AeroLight series has 3 different spectrum modes for different growth stages: Seedling, Vegetative, and Flowering. You can change the spectrum with the GrowHub Controller or the VIVOSUN App.AeroLight SE series does not have this function.

Does the AeroLight have a spectrum tuning function?

Yes. You need to connect each AeroLight to an individual GrowHub Controller.

Can I control multiple AeroLights with different schedules?

Yes. The AeroLight is designed to work reliably in high-humidity environments and can operate continuously as long as the humidity stays below 85%. However, spraying water on the light is strictly prohibited, whether it is running or not. For best performance and longevity, ensure good airflow and keep all electrical components dry. Refer to the AeroLight manual for full safety instructions.

Can AeroLight operate in very high humidity levels, like 80% or more?

The AeroLight uses the 0–10V dimming protocol. It is not compatible with PWM, CAN Bus, ModBus, or other protocols. For full functionality—including brightness, fan operation, and spectrum adjustment—it is recommended to use the GrowHub controller. While some third-party controllers that support 0–10V dimming may adjust brightness, they may not support the fan or spectrum tuning features.

What type of dimming control does the AeroLight use? Is it compatible with other brand controllers?

The AeroLight’s built-in fan only blows downward, and this is intentional. The downward airflow pushes air across the plant canopy and contributes to a vertical circulation pattern: air moves down over the plants and then rises to the tent’s top, where your duct fan extracts hot air. Combined with a lateral circulation fan, this forms a 3D airflow system.Reversing the AeroLight fan to blow upward would conflict with the duct fan, reducing airflow efficiency and cooling performance.The fan is also designed to not blow hot air onto the plants. Airflow is isolated from the heatsink, light panel, and other high-temperature components. Lab tests show that canopy temperature does not increase when the fan is running.

Can I reverse the AeroLight fan to push air upward for better circulation? Will it blow hot air onto my plants?

As a highly efficient LED light, more than 50% of power input transforms into luminous energy for plants and very small power for the fan, the remaining power transforms into heat (e.g. 45W or 154BTU at 100% running for A100).

How much heat does the AeroLight produce when running at 100%?

The AeroLight can only be cleaned externally. Follow these steps to clean the circulation fan:1. Turn off the light and place it on a stable surface.2. Pinch the wind guide mesh and push inward to release the buckles, then lift it up.Note: Be gentle and avoid pressing down on it.3. Remove the wind guide and clean it with a damp cloth or soft brush.4. Wear gloves and clean the fan blades with a damp cloth or soft brush.5. Reattach the wind guide and press down on all four corners to secure the buckles.6. Plug in and turn on the light to check that the fan is working properly.

How do I clean the AeroLight, especially the circulation fan?

AeroLight allows you to switch spectra without altering the power or light output. This ensures consistent PPFD regardless of spectrum mode.The spectrum shift occurs instantly, so the difference may be hard to notice with the naked eye. For clearer observation, you can manually switch spectra in the app and watch for a momentary color change.The AeroLight SE series cannot adjust the spectrum; only brightness can be changed.

Does changing the spectrum on AeroLight affect its power or light output? Will I see a visible color change?
